European Mink
The European Mink is a small carnivorous mammal native to Europe and parts of Asia. It has a slender body, short legs, and a bushy tail, typically measuring about 30 to 40 centimeters in length. Its fur is dark brown, with a lighter patch on the throat, which helps distinguish it from similar species.
This species primarily inhabits forests, wetlands, and riverbanks, where it hunts for small mammals, birds, and fish. The European Mink is currently classified as endangered due to habitat loss and competition with the American Mink, an invasive species that has spread across Europe.
