European Higher Education Area
The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) is a collective of countries in Europe that work together to create a more compatible and cohesive higher education system. Established through the Bologna Process, it aims to enhance student mobility, improve the quality of education, and promote the recognition of qualifications across member states.
The EHEA includes 49 countries, which collaborate to implement common standards and practices. Key features include the adoption of a three-cycle system (bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees) and the use of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) to facilitate credit recognition and transfer among institutions.
