Bologna Process
The Bologna Process is a European initiative aimed at creating a more cohesive and compatible higher education system across participating countries. Launched in 1999 in Bologna, Italy, it seeks to enhance student mobility, improve the quality of education, and facilitate the recognition of degrees and qualifications among member states.
The process promotes a three-cycle system of higher education: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. It encourages the use of a standardized credit system known as ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), making it easier for students to transfer between institutions and countries while pursuing their studies.
