Eudo II, Duke of Brittany
Eudo II was a nobleman who served as the Duke of Brittany from 1072 until his death in 1079. He was a member of the House of Rennes and succeeded his father, Eudo I, in the ducal title. His reign was marked by efforts to consolidate power in Brittany and maintain its independence from external influences.
During his rule, Eudo II faced challenges from neighboring regions, particularly from the Normans and the Kingdom of England. His leadership was characterized by a focus on local governance and the strengthening of feudal ties within Brittany. Eudo II's legacy continued through his descendants, who played significant roles in the region's history.
