Ernesto Sabato
Ernesto Sabato was an Argentine writer and essayist, born on June 24, 1911, in Rojas, Argentina. He is best known for his novels, including El túnel, which explores themes of existentialism and isolation. Sabato's work often reflects his deep concerns about society and human nature.
In addition to his literary contributions, Sabato was also a prominent figure in Argentine culture. He served as the president of the National Commission on the Disappearance of Persons in the late 1970s, addressing the human rights violations during the Dirty War in Argentina. Sabato passed away on April 30, 2011.
