Epsilon Eridani
Epsilon Eridani is a star located about 10.5 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Eridanus. It is a K-type main-sequence star, which means it is cooler and less luminous than our Sun. Epsilon Eridani is approximately 80% the mass of the Sun and has a surface temperature of around 5,000 degrees Celsius.
This star is notable for having a planetary system, including at least one confirmed planet, Epsilon Eridani b. The presence of a debris disk around the star suggests that it may have additional, yet undiscovered, planets. Epsilon Eridani is often studied in the search for extraterrestrial life due to its proximity and characteristics.
