Tau Ceti is a star located about 11.9 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Cetus. It is a G-type main-sequence star, similar to our Sun, and is slightly smaller and less luminous. This star is of particular interest to astronomers because it has a planetary system that includes at least five confirmed planets.
