Epsilon Eridani b
Epsilon Eridani b is an exoplanet located about 10.5 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Eridanus. It orbits the star Epsilon Eridani, which is a K-type main-sequence star, slightly smaller and cooler than our Sun. Discovered in 2000, this planet is classified as a gas giant and is roughly 1.5 times the mass of Jupiter.
The orbit of Epsilon Eridani b is approximately 2.5 times wider than that of Earth around the Sun, taking about 7.5 Earth years to complete one revolution. Its distance from its star places it in a region where conditions may not be suitable for life as we know it, but it remains an interesting subject for astronomers studying planetary systems.
