Enga Language
Enga Language is a language spoken primarily in the Enga Province of Papua New Guinea. It is the most widely spoken of the over 800 languages in the country, with approximately 200,000 speakers. Enga is part of the Trans-New Guinea language family and is known for its complex grammar and rich vocabulary.
The language is used in daily communication, cultural practices, and local governance. Enga has a unique system of noun classification and verb conjugation, which reflects the social structure and cultural values of the Enga people. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote the language amid globalization and the influence of Tok Pisin.
