Empress Maria Feodorovna
Empress Maria Feodorovna was born as Princess Dagmar of Denmark in 1847. She became the wife of Emperor Alexander III of Russia and served as Empress from 1881 until her husband's death in 1894. Known for her charitable work, she focused on improving healthcare and education in Russia.
Maria Feodorovna was the mother of Emperor Nicholas II, the last ruler of Russia. After the Russian Revolution, she fled to Denmark, where she lived until her death in 1928. Her legacy includes her influence on Russian society and her role in the royal family during a tumultuous period in history.
