Emperor Hàm Nghi
Emperor Hàm Nghi was the 8th emperor of the Nguyễn dynasty in Vietnam, reigning from 1884 to 1885. He ascended to the throne at a young age and is known for his resistance against French colonial rule. His reign was marked by political turmoil and the loss of sovereignty over Vietnam.
In 1885, after a brief reign, Hàm Nghi was deposed by the French and went into exile. He later became a symbol of national pride and resistance. Hàm Nghi's legacy is remembered for his efforts to unite the Vietnamese people against foreign domination and his role in the struggle for independence.
