Emperor Go-Yozei
Emperor Go-Yozei was the 107th emperor of Japan, reigning from 1586 to 1611. He was born on June 27, 1586, and was the son of Emperor Ōgimachi. His reign marked a period of transition as Japan moved towards the Edo period, characterized by the rise of the Tokugawa shogunate.
During his time as emperor, Go-Yozei had limited political power, as the shogunate held the real authority. He was known for his efforts to promote culture and the arts, and he played a role in the development of the Japanese court system. Go-Yozei passed away on January 6, 1617.
