Elizabeth Sutherland, Duchess Of Sutherland
Elizabeth Sutherland, Duchess of Sutherland, was born on July 19, 1806. She was a prominent British noblewoman and the daughter of George Granville Leveson-Gower, 2nd Earl Gower. In 1833, she married George Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 3rd Duke of Sutherland, becoming the Duchess of Sutherland.
The Duchess was known for her charitable work and support of various social causes, particularly in the areas of education and health. She played a significant role in the management of the Sutherland estates and was involved in the development of infrastructure in Scotland.
