George Granville Leveson-Gower
George Granville Leveson-Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland (1758-1833), was a prominent British nobleman and politician. He played a significant role in the House of Lords and was known for his influence in the early 19th century. The Duke was also a key figure in the Highland Clearances, a controversial period of land reform in Scotland.
