Elizabeth Sophie of Saxe-Weimar
Elizabeth Sophie of Saxe-Weimar was a German princess born on January 25, 1610. She was the daughter of John II, Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Dorothea of Denmark. Elizabeth Sophie is known for her role in the cultural and political life of her time, particularly during the Thirty Years' War.
In 1632, she married Count Johann von Nassau-Siegen, which strengthened alliances between noble families. Elizabeth Sophie was also a patron of the arts and contributed to the development of literature and music in her region. She passed away on February 19, 1680, leaving a legacy of cultural influence.
