Elections in Mexico
Elections in Mexico are held every three years for federal positions, including the President and members of the Congress. The electoral process is overseen by the National Electoral Institute (INE), which ensures fair and transparent elections. Voters participate in both presidential and legislative elections, with the next presidential election scheduled for 2024.
In addition to federal elections, Mexico also conducts local elections for state governors, mayors, and city councils. Political parties play a significant role in the electoral process, with major parties including the National Action Party (PAN), the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), and the Morena party.
