Eleanor of England
Eleanor of England, born in 1162, was the daughter of King Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine. She became the Queen of Castile through her marriage to King Alfonso VIII in 1170. This union strengthened ties between England and Spain, as Eleanor was part of a powerful royal lineage.
Eleanor had several children, including Berengaria of Castile, who later became Queen of Richard I of England. Throughout her life, Eleanor played a significant role in the political landscape of medieval Europe, contributing to alliances and the stability of her husband's kingdom. She passed away in 1214.
