Elbow Dislocation
An elbow dislocation occurs when the bones of the elbow joint are forced out of their normal position. This injury often happens due to falls, sports accidents, or direct trauma. Symptoms typically include severe pain, swelling, and an inability to move the arm.
Treatment for an elbow dislocation usually involves a medical professional realigning the bones, a process known as reduction. After the bones are back in place, a splint or cast may be used to immobilize the joint during healing. Physical therapy may also be recommended to restore strength and mobility.
