Elagabalus
Elagabalus was a Roman Emperor who ruled from 218 to 222 AD. Born as Varius Avitus Bassianus, he was a member of the Severan dynasty and became emperor at a young age. His reign is often noted for its religious controversies, particularly his promotion of the sun god Elagabal, which led to tensions with traditional Roman beliefs.
Elagabalus is also remembered for his extravagant lifestyle and unconventional behavior. He often shocked Roman society with his lavish parties and disregard for traditional gender roles. His reign ended when he was assassinated at the age of 18, marking a tumultuous period in Roman history.
