Eisbock
Eisbock is a strong beer style that originated in Germany. It is made by freezing a traditional bock beer and removing the ice, which concentrates the flavors and alcohol content. This process results in a rich, malty beer with a higher alcohol by volume (ABV) than regular bock beers.
Typically, Eisbocks have a deep amber to dark brown color and feature flavors of caramel, toffee, and dark fruits. The freezing process also smooths out the beer's texture, making it velvety and enjoyable. Eisbock is often served in smaller quantities due to its strength and complexity.
