Eid prayer
The Eid prayer is a special Islamic prayer performed during the festivals of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. It is typically held in large congregations, often in open fields or mosques, and consists of two units of prayer, known as rak'ahs. The prayer is usually followed by a sermon, or khutbah, delivered by the imam.
Eid prayers are an important part of the celebration, allowing Muslims to come together in community and gratitude. They are usually performed in the morning, shortly after sunrise, and are a way to express thanks to Allah for the blessings received during the month of fasting or the opportunity to sacrifice during Eid al-Adha.
