Eid Celebrations
Eid celebrations mark the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting for Muslims. The two main Eid festivals are Eid al-Fitr, which celebrates the conclusion of Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha, which honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. Families come together to pray, share meals, and give to those in need.
During Eid, people often wear new or special clothes and exchange gifts. Traditional foods vary by region, but sweets and savory dishes are common. Many also participate in community events, fostering a sense of unity and joy among friends and family.
