Edwin Waller
Edwin Waller was an American surveyor and politician known for his role in the early development of Austin, Texas. Born in 1800, he played a significant part in the establishment of the city, serving as its first mayor in 1839. Waller was instrumental in laying out the city's streets and public spaces, contributing to its growth and organization.
In addition to his work in urban planning, Waller was also involved in the Texas Revolution. He served as a soldier and later held various political positions, including a term in the Texas Senate.
