Edward de Clare, 6th Earl of Hertford
Edward de Clare, 6th Earl of Hertford, was a British nobleman born in 1735. He was the son of Edward de Clare, 5th Earl of Hertford and Lady Anne Seymour, and he inherited the title in 1750 after his father's death. Edward was known for his involvement in the arts and his extensive collection of paintings.
Throughout his life, the 6th Earl was also active in politics, serving as a member of the House of Lords. He was a prominent figure in the Whig Party and held various positions, including Lord Lieutenant of Middlesex. Edward de Clare passed away in 1794, leaving behind a legacy tied to both culture and politics.
