Eduardo Lonardi
Eduardo Lonardi was an Argentine military officer and politician, best known for his role in the 1955 coup that overthrew President Juan Domingo Perón. Following the coup, Lonardi briefly served as the de facto president of Argentina, holding office for a few months in 1955. His leadership was marked by attempts to stabilize the country amid political turmoil.
Lonardi's presidency ended when he was replaced by Pedro Eugenio Aramburu, who took a more hardline approach against Peronism. After his presidency, Lonardi remained involved in military and political affairs but did not regain significant power. He passed away in 1989.
