Eclipse Viewing
Eclipse viewing is the act of observing a solar or lunar eclipse, which occurs when the Earth, Moon, and Sun align in a specific way. During a solar eclipse, the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking the Sun's light partially or completely. A lunar eclipse happens when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon.
To safely view a solar eclipse, special glasses or solar viewers are necessary to protect the eyes from harmful rays. During a lunar eclipse, no special equipment is needed, as the event can be seen with the naked eye. Both types of eclipses can be fascinating experiences for skywatchers and astronomy enthusiasts.
