Eastern Aragonese
Eastern Aragonese is a Romance language spoken in the eastern part of the Aragon region in Spain. It is part of the Aragonese language family, which has its roots in the Latin spoken in the area. Eastern Aragonese is primarily used in rural communities and has been influenced by neighboring languages, including Spanish and Catalan.
Despite its rich history, Eastern Aragonese faces challenges due to declining speakers and limited official recognition. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language through education and cultural initiatives, aiming to keep the linguistic heritage alive for future generations.
