East African Shilling
The East African Shilling is the currency used in several East African countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. It is abbreviated as KES in Kenya, TZS in Tanzania, and UGX in Uganda. The shilling is subdivided into 100 cents, and its value can fluctuate based on economic conditions and exchange rates.
Each country issues its own version of the shilling, featuring unique designs and symbols that reflect national heritage. The East African Community has discussed the possibility of a single currency for the region, but as of now, each nation maintains its own currency system.
