Duke George II
Duke George II, also known as George II of Saxe-Meiningen, was a German nobleman who ruled the duchy of Saxe-Meiningen from 1746 until his death in 1782. He is recognized for his contributions to the arts and culture, particularly in theater, where he established a renowned court theater that became a model for other German states.
