Duchess Elisabeth of Bavaria
Duchess Elisabeth of Bavaria, often known as Sisi, was born on December 24, 1837. She was the daughter of Duke Maximilian Joseph in Bavaria and Princess Ludovika of Bavaria. Elisabeth became Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary through her marriage to Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1854.
Elisabeth was known for her beauty, free spirit, and interest in travel.
