Duc d'Enghien
The Duc d'Enghien, born Louis Antoine de Bourbon, was a French nobleman and a member of the House of Bourbon. He was born on August 2, 1772, and became known for his military service during the French Revolutionary Wars. The Duc d'Enghien was a prominent figure in royalist circles and was involved in various plots against the French Republic.
In 1804, he was captured by agents of Napoleon Bonaparte and executed without a fair trial, which sparked outrage among royalists and many in Europe. His death is often seen as a significant event in the history of the French monarchy and the rise of Napoleon.
