Dr. José Rizal
Dr. José Rizal was a Filipino nationalist and revolutionary leader born on June 19, 1861. He is best known for his writings, particularly his novels, Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, which exposed the injustices faced by Filipinos under Spanish colonial rule. Rizal's work inspired many Filipinos to seek independence and reform.
In addition to being a writer, Rizal was also a physician and an advocate for education. He believed that education was essential for the empowerment of the Filipino people. His contributions to the Philippine Revolution and his vision for a free and educated nation have made him a national hero in the Philippines.
