Doug Hurley
Doug Hurley is a retired NASA astronaut and Marine Corps officer. He was born on October 21, 1966, in Endicott, New York. Hurley flew on three spaceflights, including the final mission of the Space Shuttle program, STS-135, in July 2011. He has a background in engineering and has served as a test pilot.
In May 2020, Hurley commanded the Crew Dragon Demo-2 mission, which was the first crewed flight to the International Space Station (ISS) from American soil since 2011. This mission marked a significant milestone for SpaceX and NASA's partnership in commercial spaceflight.
