Bob Behnken is an American astronaut and engineer known for his work with NASA. He was born on July 30, 1970, in St. Ann, Missouri. Behnken earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and California Institute of Technology, respectively.
Behnken flew on two space shuttle missions, STS-123 in 2008 and STS-130 in 2010, contributing to the construction of the International Space Station (ISS). In 2020, he participated in the first crewed flight of the SpaceX Crew Dragon, marking a significant milestone in commercial space travel.
