Crew Dragon Demo-2
Crew Dragon Demo-2 was a historic spaceflight mission launched by SpaceX on May 30, 2020. It marked the first crewed flight of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, transporting NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley to the International Space Station (ISS). This mission was significant as it was the first time astronauts were launched from U.S. soil since 2011.
The mission successfully demonstrated the spacecraft's capabilities, including its autonomous docking with the ISS. After spending two months in space, the Crew Dragon safely returned to Earth on August 2, 2020, splashing down in the Gulf of Mexico, marking a successful milestone for commercial space travel.
