Douc Langurs
The Douc Langur is a colorful primate found in the forests of Southeast Asia, particularly in countries like Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Known for their striking appearance, they have vibrant fur with shades of orange, white, and black. These monkeys are primarily arboreal, spending most of their time in trees, where they feed on leaves, fruits, and flowers.
Douc Langurs are social animals, living in groups that can range from a few individuals to over twenty. They communicate through a variety of vocalizations and are known for their acrobatic skills. Unfortunately, their populations are threatened by habitat loss and hunting, making conservation efforts essential for their survival.
