Dost Mohammad Khan
Dost Mohammad Khan was a prominent Afghan leader and the founder of the Barakzai dynasty in the early 19th century. He became the Amir of Afghanistan in 1826 and played a crucial role in unifying various tribes and regions within the country. His leadership was marked by efforts to strengthen Afghanistan's sovereignty and resist foreign influence, particularly from the British Empire.
Under Dost Mohammad Khan's rule, Afghanistan experienced significant political and military developments. He engaged in several conflicts, including the First Anglo-Afghan War, which began in 1839.
