Dom Miguel
Dom Miguel, also known as Miguel I of Portugal, was a Portuguese king who ruled from 1828 to 1834. He was born on October 26, 1802, and was the son of King John VI of Portugal. His reign was marked by political turmoil and conflict, particularly the Liberal Wars, which were fought between supporters of absolute monarchy and those favoring constitutional monarchy.
Miguel's rule ended when he was defeated in 1834, leading to his exile. He spent much of his later life in Europe, particularly in Germany and France. His legacy remains controversial, as he is seen by some as a defender of traditional monarchy and by others as a tyrant.
