Desert Iguana
The Desert Iguana is a medium-sized lizard native to the arid regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It typically grows to about 16 to 24 inches in length and has a light gray or beige coloration, which helps it blend into its sandy environment. This species is well-adapted to desert life, often found in areas with sparse vegetation.
Desert Iguanas primarily feed on a diet of leaves, flowers, and fruits, making them herbivorous. They are most active during the day and can often be seen basking in the sun. During the hottest parts of the day, they seek shelter to avoid overheating, demonstrating their ability to thrive in extreme temperatures.
