Desert Biomes
Desert biomes are characterized by low precipitation, typically receiving less than 10 inches of rain per year. These regions often have extreme temperature variations, with hot deserts like the Sahara experiencing scorching days and cool nights, while cold deserts like the Gobi can have freezing temperatures in winter.
The vegetation in desert biomes is adapted to conserve water, featuring plants such as cacti and succulents. Animal life is also specialized, with species like the Fennec fox and Gila monster exhibiting behaviors and physical traits that help them survive in harsh conditions.
