Descaling
Descaling is the process of removing mineral buildup, primarily calcium and lime, from appliances and surfaces. This buildup often occurs in devices that heat water, such as kettles, coffee makers, and dishwashers, leading to reduced efficiency and potential damage over time.
To descale, a solution, often containing vinegar or a commercial descaling agent, is used to dissolve the minerals. Regular descaling helps maintain the performance of appliances, prolongs their lifespan, and ensures better quality in the water or beverages produced.
