Demetrius Ypsilantis
Demetrius Ypsilantis was a Greek nobleman and military leader born in 1793. He played a significant role in the early stages of the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire. As a member of the Ypsilantis family, he was influenced by the ideas of the Greek Enlightenment and sought to promote Greek nationalism.
