Daur language
The Daur language is a member of the Mongolic language family, primarily spoken by the Daur people in northeastern China, particularly in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It has several dialects, with the most prominent being the Daur dialect, which is used in daily communication and cultural expression among the Daur community.
Daur is written using the Cyrillic script, a result of historical influences in the region. The language is closely related to other Mongolic languages, such as Mongolian and Buryat, and it plays a crucial role in preserving the cultural identity of the Daur people. Efforts are ongoing to promote and revitalize the language among younger generations.
