Dalton Gang
The Dalton Gang was a group of outlaws in the American Old West, active in the late 19th century. Formed in the 1890s, the gang was primarily known for their bank and train robberies in the states of Kansas and Oklahoma. The gang consisted of several brothers, including Bob Dalton, Emmett Dalton, and Grat Dalton, who were initially lawmen before turning to crime.
The gang's most infamous robbery occurred in 1892 when they attempted to rob two banks simultaneously in Coffeyville, Kansas. The heist ended in a shootout with local law enforcement, resulting in the deaths of several gang members and marking the decline of the Dalton Gang's criminal activities.
