The Dahongshan Mine disaster occurred on March 28, 2008, in the Dahongshan Mine, located in Yunnan Province, China. A sudden rock burst led to the collapse of a section of the mine, trapping several miners underground. Rescue operations were initiated immediately, but the challenging conditions hampered efforts. In total, 23 miners were trapped, and after extensive rescue attempts, only 10 were successfully saved.
