Daemon Blackfyre was a notable character from the A Song of Ice and Fire series, created by George R.R. Martin. He was a legitimized bastard of King Aegon IV Targaryen and became the first of the Blackfyre pretenders, claiming the Iron Throne during the turbulent period known as the Blackfyre Rebellions. Born with a strong claim to the throne, Daemon was a skilled warrior and charismatic leader. His rebellion against the ruling Targaryens aimed to establish his own dynasty.
