DPST Switch
A DPST switch, or Double Pole Single Throw switch, is an electrical component that controls two separate circuits simultaneously. It has two input terminals and two output terminals, allowing it to turn both circuits on or off at the same time. This type of switch is commonly used in applications where two circuits need to be controlled together, such as in lighting systems or appliances.
The DPST switch operates with a simple mechanism, typically using a toggle or rocker design. When the switch is activated, it connects both poles to the output, enabling the flow of electricity. This makes it a practical choice for ensuring safety and convenience in electrical installations.
