Czechoslovak Legions
The Czechoslovak Legions were military units formed during World War I, composed mainly of Czechoslovak volunteers. These soldiers fought for the independence of Czechoslovakia from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and aimed to support the Allied powers. They were active in various theaters, including Russia, France, and Italy.
After the war, the legions played a crucial role in the establishment of an independent Czechoslovak Republic in 1918. Their efforts helped raise international awareness about the Czechoslovak cause, and they became symbols of national pride and resistance against oppression.
