Czechoslovak Government-in-Exile
The Czechoslovak Government-in-Exile was established during World War II after the German occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939. Led by Edvard Beneš, the government operated primarily from London and aimed to represent the interests of Czechoslovak citizens abroad, seeking international support for the country's liberation.
This government worked closely with the Allies, particularly Great Britain and the United States, to promote the cause of Czechoslovak independence. It played a significant role in diplomatic efforts, advocating for the restoration of Czechoslovakia's sovereignty after the war and contributing to the eventual establishment of a free Czechoslovak state in 1945.
