Czech resistance
The Czech resistance refers to the efforts of Czechoslovak citizens to oppose and undermine the occupation of their country during World War II, particularly under Nazi Germany. This resistance included various groups and individuals who engaged in acts of sabotage, intelligence gathering, and the dissemination of anti-Nazi propaganda.
One notable event was the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, a high-ranking Nazi official, in 1942. This act was part of a larger operation by the Czechoslovak government-in-exile and local resistance fighters. The resistance faced severe reprisals, but their actions contributed to the eventual liberation of Czechoslovakia.
